A 17 h 50 aujourd'hui , il faisait 30°.

Environ une heure plus tôt, il faisait 34° , et j'étais en ville .

Et là, surprise , que voit-on dans les vitrines des magasins ?

Des vêtements d'hiver !!

Manteaux, pulls , écharpes ...

On a encore besoin de tongs et de maillots ,de t-shirts et de petites robes, mais on n'en trouve plus !

Qui a envie d'essayer un manteau quand il fait 34 °?!!

Imperatifs commerciaux, me direz-vous ?

et le bon sens , alors ?!

Ici, il va encore faire chaud au moins un mois. Et si ça fait comme l'année dernière, même en décembre on ne mettra pas de pull.

Alors , laissez-nous encore un peu les t-shirts en vitrine!

At 17h50 today , temperature was 30°  high.

Around an hour ago, it was 34° and I was downtown.

Looking at shopwindows , I was surprised :

Coats, sweaters , scarves . .

Hey, we still need swimwears, t-shirts, small dresses. But impossible to find some !

Who wants to try a wool coat when it's 34 ° outside ?!

Commercial imperatives seem to be the key.

But what about common sense ?!

Here, heat will stay at least one month more.

So , please, leave some t-shirts in shop windows a little more time!

Je ne la juge pas , c'est juste que je ne l'aime pas .

J'assume , ça ne se commande pas .

 Mais apparement , je ne suis pas la seule . .
Au moins , Steven Seagal a beaucoup de qualités dans la vraie vie , lui.

Lift story

Vous m'avez vue arriver .

Vous ne m'avez pas attendue, vous vous êtres dépêché d'aller prendre l'ascenseur.

Vous êtes monté jusqu'au 6ème étage.

Et vous avez laissé la porte ouverte ..

Un ascenseur qui a une porte ouverte ne marche plus.

Et donc, ne redescend pas au rez-de-chaussée.

Pour refermer la porte , il aurait fallu que j'aille jusqu'au 6ème à pieds.

Je me suis arrêtée au 4ème, ce qui est déjà beaucoup , compte tenu des courses que je portais.

Merci pour la grimpette, je vous revaudrai ça un jour .

Moi aussi , je vous ai  vu ..

You saw me arriving .

You did not wait for me, you ran to  the elevator.

It left you on 6th floor .

Then, you did not close the door ...

A lift with an opened door does not work anymore.

And then, can't pick me up at ground floor anymore.

To close the door , I 'd have to climb until 6th floor .

 I stopped at the 4th floor, which is already great , considering all stuffs I was carrying.

Ce matin j'écoutais vaguement la radio en allant au boulot.
This morning I lent a distracted ear to the radio on my way to work.

Une personne avait appelé la station pour (gagner un IPod Nano) et faire passer un morceau de musique.
A person had called the station to (win an IPod Nano) and have them play a song.

"Je voudrais dédicacer cette chanson à xx, qui ne parle pas un mot d'anglais donc ne comprendra rien, mais ce n'est pas grave".
"I would like to dedicate this song to xx who doesn't speak a word of English and therefore won't understand the lyrics, but that doesn't matter".

Et voilà le morceau qui commence.

J'ai failli m'étouffer de rire.

Vous saviez vous, qu'il y avait eu une mode des fesses moches ? (Vu dans un magazine en attendant chez le dentiste).

J'ai visité une expo passionnante hier.

I visited an amazing exhibition yesterday.

Elle était annoncée par des affiches partout.

Many posters all over the area announced it.

Mais une fois à l'interieur, pas de photos autorisées !

But once inside, it was forbidden to take pictures!

Ils ont peur de quoi ?Problèmes d'argent, de droits d'auteur, d'une mauvaise pub ?..

What are they afraid of ? Do they need money, do they have problems with copyright, do they think we may show bad sides of the exhibition ?..

Si je veux vraiment casser l'expo, je peux le faire avec des mots.Pas besoin de photos !

If I really want to, I can say very bad things with words. No need of pictures !

J'aurais bien aimé montrer les oeuvres que j'ai vues , pour inciter plus de gens à aller voir l'expo.

I'd have liked to show the great things I saw, to incite more people to go and see the exhibit.

Mais je ne montrerai rien. Tant pis !

Caddie perdu cherche son supermarché

Vu aujourd'hui près du boulot.

Lost shopping trolley is looking for its supermarket. Seen today near the office.

Bon, la photo n'est pas du meilleur goût, j'en conviens. Nous tombons au niveau des pâquerettes, je suis bien d'accord.

Okay, I realise this isn't the most tasteful ever photo to have appeared on this blog. Yes, I agree, we are stooping rather low here.

J'admets que ces protège-fesses-de-la-crasse-des-autres (comment ça s'appelle vraiment ?) sont agaçants au possible quand ils restent coincés dans le distributeur.

I have to admit that these disposable toilet seat covers can be extremely annoying when they are stuck in the dispenser.

Mais pourquoi tant de haine ? Il me semble qu'il eût été plus respectueux pour autrui (et soi-même) de les mettre dans une poubelle et de tirer la chasse...

Still, I would have imagined that putting them in a bin and flushing would have been slightly more respectful of other users (and oneself)...

Je vous promets solennellement que je ne posterai jamais ici les horreurs vues dans ces mêmes W.C. Il n'est pas sûr, en revanche, que je ne râle pas de temps en temps...

I solemnly promise never to post photos of the horrors I've seen in these same toilets. I might, however, rant about them once in a while...

Petit rappel : en France , les vacances scolaires vont à peu près du 30 juin à début septembre .
In France, school holidays go from end of june till beginning of september .

Alors quand dans les grands surfaces , je vois apparaître les fournitures scolaires dès le 15 juillet , ça m'énerve !
So, when I begin to see school supplies to be sold around july 15th , it gets on my nerves !

Bien sûr, ça permet aux parents d'étaler les dépenses , je comprends ..
Of course , I can understand that parents need to spread expenses ..

Mais avant , l'été on achetait des bouées, des ballons et des glaces, et pour le reste , on attendait septembre .
When Iwas a kid, during summer we used to buy only toys for beach , balloons and ice creams . Supplies had to wait for september .
